1. Scope and Who We Are
Luxury Car France operates luxurycarrentalfrance.com as a single point of contact for a network of local rental partners across six French destinations, offering luxury, sports, convertible, SUV, electric, supercar and minivan vehicles, with day rates starting at €210 and airport or hotel delivery arranged in the city of collection. We coordinate the enquiry, the quote and the booking; the vehicle itself is supplied and handed over by the local partner operating in the chosen city. These terms apply to that coordination role and to the rental conditions set out below, which bind every booking confirmed through our site, by email, by phone or by WhatsApp.
2. From First Contact to a Confirmed Booking
A rental begins with an enquiry, not a reservation. Visitors describe their request through the enquiry form, by email, by phone or by WhatsApp, giving at minimum a name, an email address, the chosen start and finish location and the intended collection and return dates; a phone number, a preferred car and a flight number for airport delivery may also be given. No rental is reserved at this stage. Our team reviews the request and sends a written quote stating the car, the dates, the price and the deposit; the booking only becomes binding once we confirm it in writing and the client accepts those terms. Until that written confirmation is issued, Luxury Car France and the local partner remain free to decline or amend the proposed booking, in particular where the requested vehicle is unavailable for the dates given.
3. Prices and What Is Included
Prices are quoted individually for each request, taking into account the car, the dates, the chosen locations and any delivery requested. The quoted price covers use of the vehicle for the confirmed period and the insurance described in that same quote; it does not cover fuel, tolls, fines, extra kilometres beyond the included allowance, or optional extras not mentioned in the quote. Because pricing depends on availability and on the local partner handling the booking, no rate card on the website should be treated as a binding offer; only the written quote and the written confirmation state the final, applicable price.
4. Payment and Security Deposit
No payment is taken online through luxurycarrentalfrance.com. Once a quote is accepted, payment arrangements for the rental charge are confirmed in writing between the client and the team handling the booking. Separately, a refundable security deposit is held on a credit card in the main driver's name at the time of handover; depending on the car, this deposit ranges from €1,500 to €250,000, as stated in the quote. The deposit secures performance of the rental agreement, including fuel, mileage, fines, tolls and any damage for which the renter is liable, and is released within 14 days after the vehicle is returned, once fines and tolls associated with the rental period have been checked.
5. Changes and Cancellation by the Client
Because a rental is tied to a specific vehicle, date and city rather than to a generic service, the 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to most distance contracts under Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l), and under Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, does not apply to these bookings. In its place, we offer a clear voluntary cancellation policy: cancellation requested up to 48 hours before the start of the rental is free of charge; cancellation requested after that point is charged for the first rental day. Requests to change dates, cars or locations are handled on the same basis and are confirmed in writing once accepted; where a change cannot be accommodated, the original booking and its cancellation terms continue to apply.
6. Cancellation or Alteration by Us
Luxury Car France or the relevant local partner may cancel, postpone or substitute a booking where weather conditions, a safety concern, a technical fault in the vehicle, or a force majeure event beyond reasonable control makes the planned rental impossible or unsafe to carry out as booked. In such cases we will offer, where feasible, a comparable replacement vehicle, revised dates, or a full refund of any sums already paid toward the rental charge. We will not be liable for indirect losses arising from such a cancellation, including travel arrangements made independently of the rental.
7. Driver Requirements
Every main driver must be at least 25 years old and hold a driving licence for at least 3 years at the time of collection. A valid driving licence, a passport or national identity document, and a credit card in the main driver's own name must all be presented at handover; holders of a non-EU licence may be asked to also present an International Driving Permit. These requirements apply to the main driver named on the booking and to anyone else permitted to drive under the agreement; the local partner may refuse handover where the documents presented do not meet these conditions.
8. Handover and Return
The vehicle is inspected jointly with the client at the start of the rental, and its condition, fuel level and odometer reading are recorded before the keys are handed over. The same inspection takes place on return, at the location and time agreed in the booking confirmation; returning the car late, in a different location than agreed, or without completing this joint inspection may result in additional charges. Airport or hotel delivery, where requested, is coordinated with the local partner in the booking city and is arranged around the flight or arrival details given in the enquiry.
9. Fuel, Mileage, Fines and Tolls
Each booking includes 200 kilometres of driving per day; kilometres driven beyond that allowance are charged at the rate stated in the quote. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level recorded at handover; any shortfall is charged at the cost of the fuel plus a refuelling service fee. Traffic fines, tolls and parking charges incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility; where these are issued to Luxury Car France or the local partner after the rental ends, they are passed on to the renter together with an administrative fee.
10. Damage, Insurance and Prohibited Use
Insurance cover is included as described in the written quote for each booking. Where damage occurs through the renter's fault, the renter is liable for the insurance excess stated in that quote, which is deducted from the security deposit; damage beyond normal use, or use that breaches these terms, may be charged in addition to the excess. Driving outside France, participating in track days, or driving off-road is not permitted without prior written approval from Luxury Car France; smoking and carrying pets inside the vehicle are not permitted under any circumstances. Our liability toward the client is limited to the rental charges actually paid for the booking concerned and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Complaints, Website Use and Governing Law
Any complaint about a booking, a vehicle or a charge should be sent to [email protected] with the booking details, so that our team can review it with the local partner concerned and respond promptly. The content, photographs and fleet descriptions published on luxurycarrentalfrance.com are provided for information to help plan a rental and may be updated at any time without prior notice to reflect current availability; they may not be copied or reused for another commercial website without our written permission. These terms, and any booking made under them, are governed by French law, and any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the French courts. We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services; the version published on the website at the time a booking is confirmed is the one that applies to that booking.
